Digest

A new LA proposed law will state that an individual rendering all components of CPST services have to be a fully licensed mental health professional, a provisionally licensed professional counselor, a provisionally licensed marriage and family therapist, a licensed master social worker, or a certified social worker. This law is supposed to take effect the beginning of 2023. If this law is signed, Management will let you all employees affected know next steps.

The Counseling Compact

Will allow professional counselors in good standing to practice in all states that join the compact. This will remove the hurdle of getting an individual license in each state where they want to practice. The broad goal is to eliminate barriers to practice for counselors and barriers to treatment for clients, by ensuring cooperation among member states in regulating the counseling profession.

Employee Spotlight

Favorite Part of Working at PCBA: "My favorite things about PBCA includes the

ability to work independently (trust from employers) & the individuals I work with. It’s great to work with individuals that care about their company and are doing an amazing job. It’s hard to find that environment today, due to so many individuals who just don’t care about honesty, hard work & integrity."
